Adult Day Health Care Center

Harlem United's Adult Day Healthcare Center (ADHC) is a multi-service program designed to enable people living with HIV/AIDS to lead healthier, longer and more independent lives. We create a healthy and healing community for our clients that is responsive and caring. Our goal is to postpone or prevent the need for long term hospitalization or residential health care.

Our array of services include:

  • Health Care (Medical and Nursing)
  • Health Monitoring
  • Nutritional Services
  • Physical Therapy
  • HIV Education
  • Substance Abuse Services
  • Case Management
  • Lifestyle & Entitlement Workshops
  • Recreation/Trips
  • Support Groups
  • Individual/Family/Group Counseling
  • Spiritual Services
  • Acupuncture Services
  • Licensed Massage Therapy/Movement Therapy

In addition to these services, the program offers breakfast and lunch. The New York State AIDS Institute requires that a client attend the ADHC at least 3 hours a day and accumulates 3 hours of health care services in a week.
