First and foremost I want to thank everyone for taking the time out of their busy schedules to visit my 2009 ING marathon page!
I made the decision in May of this year to run in the hopes of making people more aware of HIV/AIDS. I know many of you know some of the details of the virus but there are alot of things that aren't being spoken of.
In recent years the "HIV Fear" has seemed to decline and it left me wondering why. I then found out that a recent poll showed 92% of Americans 10 years ago were afraid of contracting the virus whereas last years poll only showed 32% were. Why is that?
Worldwide statistics show that for every one person contracting the virus another ten have the virus and are completely unaware. There are currently 33 million people living with HIV with 15.5 million being women and 2 million children with the virus. This disease does not discriminate...
The foundation helps provide anyone with HIV/AIDS testing, counseling, medical care as well as housing. For more information ask me!
November 1st I am running my first marathon and I am so blessed to be running for this foundation. I am grateful for any assistance you can help me in accomplishing my fundraising goals.
