I'm running the race for charity - why? because my running has improved by leaps and bounds this year, and I'm ready NOW to go the distance! I've always been tempted to run the marathon, but the entry requirements are really strict and require careful, advance planning - not one of my stronger suits! Oh! And I hope to see you in the streets on Nov 1! Details to follow!
From Kelsey: As a running coach, I’ve always said that there are many reasons to slow down during a marathon, but you only need one good reason to keep going. This year, that reason for me is helping people living with HIV/AIDS. As the VP of Supportive Housing, I am initiating new family programs for women and children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. I am thrilled to be able to combine two of my passions—running and helping others. Please help me by making a contribution. No amount is too small.

From Matt: As most of you know I’ve been running mostly shorter distance races since I moved back from Chicago, but I really wanted to challenge myself by running a marathon! I’m proud to tell you that I will be running the ING NYC Marathon on November 1st as part of Harlem United’s Team Apollo. It’s a fantastic opportunity for me not only to complete one of the greatest races in the world, but to help make a difference in the lives of thousands of New Yorkers.
