On November 1, 2009 I will be running my first marathon race on behalf of Harlem United Community. Running the New York City Marathon has been one of my life long goals. I hope to accomplish this goal not only for myself but also as inspiration for my son and family. I am a believer that anything can be done if you put your mind to it and I want all of the people I love to carry that message with them.
I feel lucky to have this opportunity to participate in a NYC marathon because New York City is (in my humble opinion) the greatest city in the world. NYC is very dear to my heart.
But more importantly, I am honored to run the NYC Marathon on behalf of Harlem United. Harlem United is an outstanding community based organization that provides hands on services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. I believe in treatment for this disease for all persons no matter what socio-economic class, race or gender.
Your donation to this cause and your support of my goal to complete the 2009 New York City Marathon will be greatly appreciated and shall remain with me for a lifetime.
