Dear Friends and Family,
I’m proud to tell you that I will be participating in the New York City ING Marathon 2011 as part of Harlem United’s Team Harlem United. It’s a fantastic opportunity for me: not only to complete one of the greatest races in the world, but to help make a difference in the lives of thousands of New Yorkers. I need your help to achieve my goals – not only your support in my running but also in my fundraising on behalf of Team Harlem United.
Located in the heart of Harlem and minutes away from its most iconic landmark the Apollo Theater, Harlem United has formed “Team Harlem United†to raise funds to support their work as a leading AIDS Service Organization in New York City, providing access to quality health care, HIV prevention, housing and care services to New York City's diverse community.
Some of you may know I recently took on the challenge of participating in the NYC Half Marathon this past March which turned out to be a great experience. I am excited to train and participate in this upcoming event, please join me in taking on this next goal in running my first Marathon. The chance to support this worthy organization really means that I’m running with a purpose.
