TESTING SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Testing Services aims to provide universal and targeted testing to Upper Manhattan and the South Bronx populations using zone- based “Blocks” and risk-based testing approaches. Both approaches to testing offer rapid and follow-up confirmatory testing for HIV and screenings for STD (Chlamydia, Herpes, and Gonorrhea) and Hep C.

The risk-based approach offers mobile testing services at many “non-traditional” venues such as nightclubs, areas where sex workers or drug users congregate, private parties, Internet chat rooms, and other locations where community members may initiate or engage in risky behavior for testing s.
The targeted at-risk populations are men-who-have-sex-with-men (MSM), young gay men of color, African American women, injecting drug users, African and Latina immigrant women and other groups where HIV infection rates are high.
