Administrative Coordinator

The Administrative Coordinator s serves as the Executive Support for the Senior Vice President and the Administrative Operations department including HR, Compliance, Training, & Property Management. The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality of information exposed in the course of business and completion of tasks, the ability to multi-task various assignments while communicating in a highly professional and effective manner, in a rapidly-changing environment, efficiently coordinate and manage the calendar of the SVP, possess advanced competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, maintain records and contact information for key stakeholders, respond to and direct all requests from internal and external stakeholders, participate in writing project proposals, draft and disseminate correspondence on behalf of the Senior Vice President, is responsible for the development and management of complex and sensitive administrative tasks as assigned by the Senior Vice President, identify and coordinate all necessary resources needed for special projects, prepare and submit all necessary reports as assigned, participate in bi-weekly supervision with the Senior Vice President, filing, faxing, copying, scanning, editing, data entry and general support for the Senior Vice President and monitor office supplies. The Administrative Coordinator will also be responsible for acting as the liaison between Harlem United and external vendors, providers, and organizations as it relates to training and staff development aspects and coordinate agency-wide training needs, under the umbrella of the Leadership Institute. He/She will also work with the HR Team, schedule, coordinate, and maintain the monthly New Hire Orientation activities. Education and Certification: A Bachelor’s degree in English, Business, Education, Public Administration, Social Work, or Psychology is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 3 years working in a progressive project manager, executive or administrative support role, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
