Associate Vice President of Strategic Advancement

The Associate Vice President of Strategic Advancement is a key member of the Leadership team and plays an important role in advancing agency mission through the acquisition of new funds and developing agency’s communication strategy.  S/he will lead and oversee all grant making, fundraising (individual donor, special events) and communication activities for the agency. The incumbent will partner with the Vice President and Executive Leadership to develop and carry out revenue generating campaigns that promotes agency mission, vision, and values. The Associate Vice President will have oversight and responsibility for agency wide communication plan. In partnership with leadership, the AVP will develop and carry out a communications plan that includes internal and external markets, social media, public relations, public interest stories and public health campaigns which promote programming and agency exposure on a citywide and national level.  The incumbent will have three director level reports. Education and Certificate: A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s in a related field is strongly preferred. Extensive successful work experience in the field may substitute formal education requirements. At least 3 years of related experience with grant making, fundraising, marketing, and special events planning.
