NYC Pride March 2016
June 26, 2016 @ 3:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Each year, Harlem United clients and staff come together to march down New York City’s historic Fifth Avenue to celebrate LGBTQ Pride. It’s a celebration both of how far we’ve come as a community and of the bright future ahead of us.
This message is even more critical this year as our community begins to heal and organize after the tragedy in Orlando, and you’re invited to share it! Will you join us?
Meet us at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday June 26 on 39th Street between Madison and Park!
Heritage of Pride is expecting this year’s march to be the largest ever! This means that the parade will not only be extra crowded, but also there will be heightened security. That’s why we’re asking you to:
- Please leave your bags at home. They may be subject to search before you are allowed to enter the parade area and we don’t have any room in the vehicles to transport them
- Please make sure to be prompt. Due to heightened security, it may take longer for you to get into the “staging area” than in past years
Everyone who marches will receive a special Harlem United t-shirt.
