Naloxone is a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose. It is an opioid antagonist—meaning that it binds to opioid receptors and can reverse and block the effects of other opioids. It can very quickly restore normal respiration to a person whose breathing has slowed or stopped as a result of overdosing with heroin or prescription opioid pain medications. Calling all levels of runners and walkers for the 5th Annual Harlem One-Miler!  This event brings the community together for a morning race/jog/walk/skip/shuffle in Harlem.  No experience is required. Heats will begin at 9:00 AM and will run every 30 minutes.  Our new location will be in East Harlem, on Randall’s Island. Enjoy the views of the bustling city, as we escape to our very own island oasis. Still one mile, and even more fun. Register to race or volunteer
