Field Supervisor, Facilities/Administrative Operations

The maintenance field supervisor is responsible for all functions and operations related to the upkeep, repair and improvements of facilities and any other Harlem United property. The field supervisor is also responsible for the management of the department’s day-to-day operations in the field, including but not limited to special assignments of all units and all information related to them. The position requires a Wednesday to Sunday shift. General work hours are between 9 am and 5 pm. Overtime may be required. The ideal candidate will have skills relating to critical thinking and decision making, as well as hands-on experience and skills across a broad spectrum of maintenance service and repairs in the area of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering and electrical. Some automotive/mechanical knowledge is recommended for this position. Education and Certificate: New York State Driver’s License is required plus maintained in good standing throughout employment and remain subject to DMV background check. High school diploma or G.E.D. Trade school certification, or other technical related courses a plus, three years’ experience in general maintenance functions including: cleaning, light carpentry, plumbing, electrical, plastering, painting, lock repair, dry wall application, managing power tools and equipment.
