Licensed Practical Nurse -Primary Care (LPN)

The LPN is a critical member of the primary care team.  The LPN functions under the supervision and guidance of the Nursing Manager or Physician and participates in the multi-disciplinary process of providing care and treatment to patients and provides clinical support and technical assistance to the professional medical and other staff. The LPN is responsible for functioning within the scope of practice dictated by the authority of the New York State Department of Health and the Education Law. Ideal candidate must be able to manage demanding workload with accuracy. Education and Certification: Possess an Associates degree in Nursing, 2-3 years experience in an ambulatory setting LPN licensed by the State of New York.  Preference of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.  Experience serving persons with HIV/AIDS whom may have histories of substance use, chemical dependency, and/or psychosocial or mental problems required.  Currently certified BLS for Health Care Providers.
