New York, NY (January 20, 2015) – Harlem United hails Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s 2015 Opportunity Agenda, announced Sunday. The Anti-Poverty Opportunity Agenda, a 10-point plan to combat poverty and fight inequality, will include more than $486 million in new funding for affordable and supportive housing as well as homeless services, including $183 million and 5,000 new units of supportive housing for people in New York State with various chronic conditions, including HIV. Get fit with us this year

Harlem United and Harlem Run are teaming up to make it even easier for our communities to get and stay healthy. In two weeks, we're launching Harlem Gets Fit in order to help New Yorkers learn healthy practices and to support each other in achieving our fitness goals. All ages, abilities, and experiences are invited to join us as we create a place to achieve these goals. Health experts, coaches, supported runs and community resources will be introduced at our kick-off and available going forward throughout the year.
