Harlem United awarded two new grants to expand our health care and HIV prevention programs

We have exciting news to share! Harlem United is the recipient of two new exciting and important grant awards, one in our Prevention department (or PESS, which stands for Prevention, Education and Support Services) and one in our Health Services department. In PESS, Harlem United’s application to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for Comprehensive High-Impact HIV Prevention (FOA PS15-1502) was selected for funding! We Have A lot to Celebrate and More Work to Do!

This has been an amazing couple of weeks. Supreme Court decisions and budget and legislative sessions leave us with a lot to celebrate, but there is more work to do! Harlem United senior leaders, policy staff, staff advocates and consumers have travelled to Albany, Washington DC and City Hall to participate in countless meetings with legislators, demonstrations and press events.
