Harlem United’s Dental Team Addresses Healthcare Gaps

We’ve known for years that oral health is a vital part of whole-person care, and essential to improving the health and wellbeing of our community. That’s why we integrated dental services into our interdisciplinary care model all the way back in 2003.

While major gaps in access to affordable, high quality dental care persist, especially for Black and Brown communities across New York City, we are proud to be part of the solution. Our oral health team was featured in the historic New Amsterdam News — including our Dental Director, Dr. Alexandra Frankel — whose leadership is highlighted in the article.

Last year alone, our dental team provided more than 4,000 dental visits for almost 1,200 patients, 70% of whom relied on Medicaid.

Underneath the tote bag images, is text that reads "Donate $25 and claim your limited-edition Harlem United tote bag!"
